On May 25,led by the State Grid Smart Grid Research Institute Co., LTD., the first domestic 500 kV crosslinked polyethylene power cable system (including factory soft joint） manufactured by the insulation material YJ-500(WMY-4201 EHV)produced by our company successfully passed the type test in Zhoushan Ocean Transmission Technology Laboratory. Marking the stage progress of China's 500 kV cable independent production.

The cable system is jointly developed by the State Grid Intelligent Research Institute and Zhoushan Ocean Transmission Technology Laboratory, Wanma (Zhejiang)High-voltage Material Co., LTD., Ningbo Dongfang Cable Co., LTD., China Institute of Electrical Science and Technology, Changyuan Power Technology Co., LTD., marking the further improvement of China’s high-voltage cable industry chain independent controllable ability.

In the face of numerous technical challenges in the development process of high-voltage cable insulation materials,Wanma sincerely cooperates with the leading enterprises in the industry chain to overcome difficulties and seek development.The successful passing of this type test verified the technical feasibility and reliability of domestic 500 kV insulation material, filled the gap of domestic 500 kV AC cable independent insulation material，and enhanced the international competitiveness of China’s cable material manufacturing technology.
