On December 25, 2022, the new product appraisal meeting of ‘Super cleanness XLPE insulation for HV&EHV cable(220KV)’, ‘Smoothness semi-conductive screen for HV&EHV cable(220KV)’ and ‘35kV Thermoplastic polypropylene insulation material’ was successfully held by China Electricity Council.

        The certifying commission is headed by Chen Weijiang, academician of State Grid Corporation of China. The expert members are from China Electric Power Research Institute and State Grid Electric Power Research Institute，Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute Co., Ltd.，State Grid Corporation of China, TICW, State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company, State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Company, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Company, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Company, State Grid Fujian Electric Power Company, State Grid Guangdong Electric Power Company, China Southern Power Grid, Xi’an Jiaotong University, HENGTONG GROUP, Qrunning Cable and other well-known experts in the field of cable from all over the country.

        Wanma Macromolecule General Manager Huang Shengqiang, Deputy General manager Wang Guohai and the project team members Liu Huaxin, Jiang Songyi, Chen Wenqing, Yu Jie, Zheng Yang and the others attended the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Huang Shengqiang gave a welcome speech, reported the company's business development ideas of making "good" products, taking innovation as the driving force, and expressed gratitude to the support of the experts.                

        After listening to the company's R & D report, the expert group reviewed the report materials, the development report, the technical and economic analysis report, the test and inspection report and the custom report. And the expert group put forward valuable suggestions on the core technical indicators, project application prospects and promotion measures of the project. Chen Wenqing, deputy chief engineer, answered the experts' questions on behalf of the project team.

        The experts conducted a comprehensive review of the research and development documents and data of the project. Finally, Experts unanimously recognized the three products are innovative and have superior comprehensive performance, and are worth promoting and applying as new cable materials..

        The results of the new products appraisal were as follows: Super cleanness XLPE insulation for HV&EHV cable(220KV) and Smoothness semi-conductive screen for HV&EHV cable(220KV) reached the international advanced level, and the 35kV Thermoplastic polypropylene insulation material reached the leading domestic level. At the end of the meeting, Academician Chen Weijiang as the director of the certifying commission announced that the three products were agreed to pass the product appraisal, and can be mass-produced. The meeting ended with warm applause.
